Captain America was created by Joe Simon And Jack Kirby and debuted in 1941 just 9 months before the United States entered WWII. During this time a wave of patriotically themed superheroes sprang up such as The Shield, Captain Freedom, and Uncle Sam. Most of these failed, but nearly every publisher had it’s own super-American busting Nazis in World War II. Marvel Comics decided to get in on the action, and Captain America was born. Centuries later, Ed Brubaker’s run has receives critical acclaim and The Warriors discuss everything good, and bad concerning “Cap”.
